🚨TRUMP: A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can…

I don't think that Pres. Trump wants to destroy the electrical infrastructure of Iran. Iran's power plants generate electricity using natural gas. Iran does have a nuclear power plant and one hydroelectric plant, but those alternate sources combined supply less than 10% of Iran's electricity.
Roughly 90% of Iran's power generation is natural gas from the South Pars field, which flows through the IGAT-1, IGAT-2, IGAT-3, IGAT-4 and IGAT-10 pipelines to the power plants.
IGAT-1 is a 686 mile long 42-inch diameter gas pipeline from the South Pars field to the cities in northern and central Iran, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz.
IGAT 2 Gas Pipeline (Iran Gas Trunkline-2) is a 56-inch diameter natural gas pipeline, 423 miles long from the Kangan Refinery in Fars Province to Qazvin in the north.
IGAT-3 is an 800 mile 56-inch diameter gas pipeline from the South Pars Gas Complex to northern and northwestern Iran power plants.
IGAT 4 is an 800-mile long 56-inch diameter gas pipeline from the South Pars gas field to the electrical power plants in Fars and Isfahan provinces.
IGAT-10 is a 400 mile long 56-inch diameter gas pipeline from Southern Iran to the northern cities and their electrical power plants.
Gas pipelines cannot flow without the compressor stations. Most of these have anywhere from 5 to 10 compressor stations along their length to keep the gas pressurized and flowing. No compressor station = zero gas flow. Replacing a compressor station can be done, but it takes time, maybe a few months. Meanwhile, no gas flow = no electricity.
The US doesn't need to destroy the electrical power plants or the electrical grid of Iran. Their vulnerability is in the main on-shore compressor stations for the South Pars gas fields, which supply the gas for 90%+ of Iran's electricity. Any damage can be repaired under the new Iranian leadership and electricity can be restored... but while the Mullah's and IRGC rule, the gas can be cut off and no electricity can be generated.
Good luck to Iranian IRGC and their underground secret tunnel bases and deep underground complexes... when the lights go out.
