Iran's Kharg Island terminals load 95%+ of all oil transport ships from Iran. They are critical to Iran's income.
The U.S. doesn't need to destroy the ship loading terminals or the tanks or even the pipelines. No electricity = no pumps operating, so no oil flow. No electricity = no ship loading arms or oil metering can operate. If the U.S. knocks out the main electrical lines and substation to the Kharg Island terminals, Iran's oil shipments grind to a halt until the electricity is restored. No oil sales = no income.
So long as no other ships can transit the Strait of Hormuz... then Iran won't be allowed to move their oil either. If Iran wants to sell their oil... then they need to stop interfering with other nations in the Persian Gulf.
