So I didn't watch it all as this feels like a broken clock moment with NY times being the primary source. Yes I think Nyetanmeow (as the Italians call him, unironically btw) was lying to trump. No I do not think he bought the lie. There were two or three occasions before the war started in Feb where Israel was chomping at the bit and we held back.

I think Trump took the plans, reworked them with his senior officers to a functional state, set deliberate achievable goals, and let Israel think we had them backed up to the hilt. Now we will start seeing cracks in the alliance and Nyt is trying to get ahead of this now that the ceasefire is on the table. That is still all according to plan.

I expected the ceasefire to be violated by Iran because it is a force with no effective cic now. It's control system is broken and it's split into a factional set of fighters. Israel will now take more punishment instead of trump is my prediction.
