Looking at average gas prices in Michigan you see the lowest prices in leftist counties and the highest prices in conservative counties. And its not a small difference, its about 40 cents between highest and lowest.

My county for example (one of the States most conservative on average) is among the highest nestled in between several counties that are the lowest and most leftist.
Down the street from me gas is 4.19/gallon. I bought gas in Detroit Friday for 3.79.
