DUH.. There's another monopoly thing they do.. If you have season tickets to a premium area and find you don't need or can't go to the game at the last minute, they limit how low you can sell the tickets so sometimes they do not sell at all. They own all the major platforms for selling the tickets.
They also own all the venues so now we pay up the wazoo for beer and food at those venues.
This would be a good class action lawsuit.
I just want affordable ticket prices again. These $500 through several thousand a ticket prices are beyond insane.
They charge that much because they know suckas will pay.
Yeah, but if they are broken up because of monopoly ruling, there might be competitive fair pricing again.
Recently bought my son and grandson tickets to Orioles game. First try for seats behind home plate were like $120. I couldn't get someone to ask questions about paper tickets because they were a gift. Did some looking and got number for an actual park employee. Got the tickets for $72 each.
