This is an odd story. Murder suicide, but gun has not been located? Would it not be next to the suicided?
Political Career and Role in Red Flag Law Justin Fairfax, a Democrat, served as Virginia’s lieutenant governor from 2018 to 2022 and was once considered a rising star in the party. Notably, he was the tiebreaking vote that helped pass Virginia’s Emergency Substantial Risk Order law—commonly known as the red flag law—in 2020. This law allows courts to temporarily remove firearms from individuals deemed a threat to themselves or others.
The irony of his involvement in gun safety legislation has drawn sharp attention, especially given that the red flag law did not prevent him from accessing a firearm during a period of escalating personal crisis.
