The number of registered voters in the United States for the 2020 presidential election varied by source, with the U.S. Census Bureau estimating approximately 168.3 million registered voters. Other organizations provided different figures, including the U.S. Election Assistance Commission which reported over 209 million active registered voters, and the Associated Press citing expert estimates ranging from 195 million to 215 million.
Census Bureau Estimate: 168,300,000 registered voters (January 2022 report).
Election Assistance Commission: Over 209 million active registered voters.
Expert Estimates (AP): Ranged between 195 million and 215 million.
Actual Votes Cast: Approximately 158.4 million ballots were submitted.
Claims suggesting only 133 million voters were registered have been fact-checked and debunked as false, often based on miscalculated projections rather than actual registration data. The 2020 election saw a record turnout with 66.8% of the citizen voting-age population casting ballots, the highest rate since 1900.
but I remember hearing the numbers of 155mil and 158 mil as the total REGISTERED voters prior to the election. pretty wild how "some experts" stating there were between 195 and 214 million when the total population if the country was approximately 331.5 million. I am sure that the demonrats and establishment repugnicans. are just blowing smoke up our asses about this all, especially considering the total number of registered voters for 2024 droped to approximately 174 million. so that many people were REGISTERED in 2020, but then were NO LONGER registered by 2024? or was it that so many people had passed away over that four year period? fishy....
would love to hear polite conversation about it.
You wanna know what I find fishy? Why is the number of registered voters an "estimate"? People register to vote with the various state governments so the number of registered voters should be a pretty easy number to come up with. The real question is how accurate are the voter rolls, not the number of names they list.
this was what brave Ai told me about it:
