Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Do you know what? I am really looking forward to God taking down evil. I am excitedly looking forward to when the roots of evil are dug up and tossed on the fire, along with all its off-spring. I am anxiously looking forward to when evil will be eradicated. I am already preparing to live eternally, peacefully, and together advance in excellence, exponentially, with no evil, and everyone knowing God. I am especially looking forward to living in true peace forever.
I love what God created because it is so amazing, but evil sickens me to where I can’t stand it. It can sometimes get so bad it's like hanging by a thread of sanity. There is profound weariness that comes from living in a world defined by rebellion against God, where good is constantly under siege.
I am not discouraged. Maybe at times I have been, but overall I am encouraged by God, Christ, and the faithful today and of days past. Those who help align others with the truth of God, to find a home even while exiled in a world of evil, or succeed as a vessel of the will of God.
I know Christ has saved me, and I know He has been helping me, because He’s been a reliable friend. I know that the day I die, I will be with Christ. Because of that, I know I can walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil, so I just keep going where He leads, or carries me. I've tried so many different ways, but Christ's yoke is truly the easiest. In fact, it's so light it's more like a modern life preserver.
Now don't go thinking I want to die, but if do die, don't you go shedding a tear that i made it, just focus on making it out too!
Amen Amen! Thanks for sharing. 👻
It will be with fire this time, all will burn. The only ones to make it through the fire will be the faithful who will wake up to a world of bones and ash.
This sounds a doomy as doom can be, but here is the wonderful bit, we will see the world remake itself at super speed. Beautiful trees, grasses, bushes and all sorts of animals and insects will grow before us in a day into an utterly beautiful world of wonder, a huge food forest.
Our pets will come back to us barking and meowing with joy and never leave, and we will find that our bodies and minds have been made whole again, all of us in every way possible.
The best bit is that God will walk amonst us to talk to us, his beloved children.
Well said. I can absolutely relate to this. I just wish I was able to articulate it as well as you just did. Thank you my friend! I needed this! Have a blessed day!
I feel the Spirit moved him. I too needed this during my morning readings.
God is Great, even in these small gestures.
God bless you all. ❤️
Amen.
Beautiful thoughts Fatality! Our Pastor always says to walk in the easy yoke of Jesus and drink from the living water. It is our life perserver, indeed! 🙌
