Glyphosate isn't being removed from the market yet, possibly because changing to other products or methods will take time (and we need to keep growing food during that time), but IT, and other toxic chemicals, NEED to be removed from American farming -- and America soils, to whatever extent we can do that -- ASAP.

. . . In general, pesticide exposure through food, water and air is thought to be limited, with safety thresholds established by regulatory agencies like the EPA and WHO to protect public health.
However, research suggests that long-term, daily exposure could contribute to serious health issues.
While effects vary depending on the type of pesticide, they have been associated with a higher risk of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and several types of cancer, as well as reproductive, developmental and metabolic disorders.
Just look at agricultural workers, who are regularly exposed to high levels of pesticides and have been found to have higher rates of chronic illness, including lung cancer.
Because non-organic fruits, vegetables and whole grains can carry more pesticide residue than foods like dairy, meat and heavily processed fare — staples of the average American diet — researchers believe this could help explain the unexpected link.
The findings may also shed light on the changing face of lung cancer.

There are varieties of pesticides that aren't as toxic as glyphosate that can be used without forcing farmers to go without some form of pesticide. In fact, before the 20th Century, our farmers used natural ingredients and they worked just fine. We've been feeding the world for well over 150 yrs, a helluva lot longer than Monsanto has been around. And a helluva lot longer than petro-based chemical pesticides have been around.
What happened to our farming industry is the same thing that happened to our medical and education industries. It was taken over by robber barons, crooked industrialists, and demented scientists. The same scientists that just so happened to be Nazis, in the case of IG Farben, Bayer, Dow Chemical, and Monsanto, the top 4 chemical manufacturers that make the world's leading pesticides, herbicides. They also make chemical based "fertilizers," among other man made substances that are nothing more than poisons. Companies that are financially backed by the Rockefeller, Soros, and Rothschild families.
As we get further along in this quest, the more I'm convinced that we really didn't win WWII. In fact, the more I realize we were actually conquered by the Nazis. If you go back in time, and read what the terrue definition of a fascist govt is, that's really what we have today: a govt/corporate socio-captialist based society. There's little to no distinction between the corporate and govt sectors any more, because they've been fused into one entity, governed and financed by the same people thru revolving-door practices, using fascist based principles aligned to meet the needs of an indoctrinated public. Which, it so happens to be, was what the Nazis intended if you listen to all of Hitler's, Himmler's and Heidrich's speeches.
