I've been aware of the fringe thing for a while, but wanted to go look at in more depth, but I can't find info about it anywhere. Where did this idea come from? Everything I can find just says it is purely decorative with no meaning. From what I can find where it claims it does have meaning, it's just random people claiming it with nothing to back it up.
