I’m not good with analyzing the symbolism of things like this, so I’ll leave that to you. What I took away from this was how pathetic all those people looked with their phones in the air trying to capture what will undoubtedly be poor quality video, instead of just taking in the beauty of the event. There will be video of the event from official White House accounts. Why take yourself out of the moment?
My wifey ALWAYS gets onto me for NOT filming something this magnificient and I tell her...ENJOY the moment for it will never come around again!!!! Tango Yankee for the memory!!!!!!
I completely agree!!! Plus, they will never watch the video again. It'll be on their phones, taking up space for no reason when it's all available on the internet and they can see their own face in the scene.
I always think this too of people at big, filmed/televised events. Even the newscasters dinner the other night. They were videoing with their phones while I was watching it on the internet. Trust me, it will be on the web forever and you won't have your face hidden by your stupid phone.
performed by Marines Band, “Music of the Night” = a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber as part of the theater play “Phantom of the Opera”
For London, WEF, EU the night could mean symbolically the USA no longer following their lead in world affairs.
King Charles III visit = a mission to charm Congress and the President, to make a case for the London world order, for NATO, the green movement, and Zelenskyy’s war of Ukraine. K C III played the role of charmer, Opera Ghost “O.G.” in the musical (“the Phantom”). In the play, the Phantom charms by his voice a chorus girl./
The song “Music of the Night” appears early in the musical. The setting = same time in the book by Gaston Leroux.
Leaders wear their “masks” of friendliness to charm just as the Phantom wears a mask and there is a masquerade ball later in the book and musical.
Erik, the Phantom who hides from the world with a terrible diseased face, wears a mask while haunting the Paris Opera House and giving orders for its operations.
This parallels King Charles 3rd’s role on the stage. The world (the people who are not yet awake) see him as a leader, a spokesman, but “his smile” & “charm” = the mask.
Shortly after being charmed by the PhantomChristine Daaé, a chorus girl in the book and play, Unmasks the Phantom
yes, interesting choice. Last year at one of the WhiteHouse dinners “Les Miserables” was featured, and a highlight was one of the military performers calling aside with his theatrical voice “Most of them are gonners”!
the masked Phantom’s last singing line is “It’s over now, the music of the night.”
It’s over for London, the Phantom disappears, and the mask is left behind for the people to behold, the mask of the one who oppressed.
I hate pomp and circumstance shows like this. What a waste of money, go talk in a room to settle issues and save the taxpayer the shit show. Maybe this is something kind of com, ok, but after the world is ridden of royalty scum no more. Pathetic.
understandable feeling when there’s trillions in debt and so many hurting
I like theater but not the things the British monarchy stands for, so for the future with the ballroom, I think citizens will be more leveled up, and there will be less of the pathetic
What happens next as the book, the stage play, the movie unfolds, and White Hats continue to pull back the mask of the Phantom?
The Phantom will be furious, there may be a chandelier falling from the ceiling of the opera house. There may a scream, super high pitched as in the theater.
In the end, the Phantom has to escape from the Opera House, the murderer is tracked down.____
K. Charles 3 visited while the UK & the City of London are not in harmony, to put it delicately (“softly, gently” from the “Music of the Night” song). The song is about seduction, darkness, and power, over a protégé (the “Special Relationship”).
President Trump and white hats are not operating within their special relationship ways, and our ending it.

I agree, the moment is enjoyed when present, definitely.
My wifey ALWAYS gets onto me for NOT filming something this magnificient and I tell her...ENJOY the moment for it will never come around again!!!! Tango Yankee for the memory!!!!!!
excellent way: “ ..ENJOY the moment for it will never come around again!!!! Tango Yankee for the memory!!!!!!”
I could see snapping a couple of pictures. But that's me. I sometimes like to look at them later.

I only wish Nessum Dorma was playing! Sigh, but I digress!
Yes, “By dawn I win,” can hardly wait to hear from President Trump that “It’s dawn!”

How will the unmasking continue to unfold?
The masks are not the problem or issue. But those who can not / will not see them.
a wise truth, saving this!
