Every time someone comes in with any symptoms that could be a stroke or TIA, they immediately prescribe statins no matter the age of the person or whether they have abnormal lipid tests.
It happened to my husband in 2021, they never found why he had the symptoms even scanning his brain multiple different ways. His lipids were completely normal, even slightly low normal. I didn't fill the prescription and a specialist for another issue said it would be dangerous to take those with the level of his normal test.
I look at medical charts every day, it makes me sick to see those prescribed without hesitation.🤬
I can confirm. I had a stroke last year and I rejected their statins thanks to info from my fellow frogs. I have since learned that doctors don't even agree on this and many other "standard practices".

Same here. My doctor told me to at least take the low dose aspirin.
