That would exclude a lot of disabled people who live off of SSI or SSDI. And there are a lot of disabled vets who live off of those. And I've seen quite a few Anons here who have mentioned they're on disability.
Yes, some don't think it through. I live on disability and work part time. I get most of my tax returned at end of year. I shouldn't vote? Of course, some believe i shouldn't vote merely bc I'm a woman. Two strikes? Idiots.
You are correct and I did not make the distinction between non producers and retired, disabled. It's the career takers that need to be cut out. There are generations of takers who's family has never worked.

Only allow net tax paying citizens to vote. If you have been a taker for 5 yrs, you should lose the right to vote. So many problems would be solved.

Exactly this. Why give votes to people who benefit from the system but don’t contribute.
I have the same issue with public servants, they shouldn’t have any voting rights either.

That is a de facto poll tax, that makes it illegal.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that non-producers should not vote. But what you proposed is against the law.
