Jeez... with all those LED lights we were forced to "invest" in and forced "smart" meters, they're gonna be running backwards and cutting us all checks, right?
I like my LED lights. Certainly 1000% better than the curly-Q bulbs anyway. I don't buy the cheap ones though - their light is awful. I get the Phillips Hue that allow you to tune the shades and temperature and control them locally with Zigbee inside of Home Assistant. I don't use the Hue Bridge that they say is necessary. Presence Sensors turn my lights on/off and my electric bill stays low.
I'm starting to use matter, and I still have a couple Z-wave devices, but zigbee is a great mesh network that gets stronger as you add more powered (not battery) devices that act as a router. Eventually matter/thread will be a likely "winner" in smart home stuff, but there are still issues between apple and everyone else that cause some issues. Until then, zigbee is my way to go as I can run everything I have without reaching out to some cloud. All of it is local on my Home Assistant docker. Bow, for a couple you probably haven't heard about in a long while - I started with X-10 and Insteon. All of that is long gone.

Many of them put out blue light that screws up your system...
You are so right about the "good ones" and output.
Zigbee... Haven't heard that name in like 10 years when I "over did it" and bought a ton of that stuff for automation...
