Transgender athlete AB Hernandez dominates three jumping events at California postseason track meet
A Save Girls' Sports rally and dominant performances by a trans athlete at a California CIF track meet spotlight the competitive fairness controversy.
What a lazy assed boy one would have to be to decide to compete as a girl in sports! That is utterly ridiculous.
I was a H.S. athlete back in the early 90's. I played football. I also worked out with the weightlifting team, but I didn't compete because at my weight class at the time, we had a guy who was stronger than me. We had a couple girls who thought it would be awesome if they could play football. One was a basketball player and the other was a soccer player and also played some other sport, I can't remember. But what I do remember is those two girls didn't last long because once we were allowed to practice in pads it was game over. Those two girls quit in the middle of practice the first day we had pads on. That was on Practice Day #4. We were known a viciously hard hitting team in our District, and we weren't about to lose that notoriety on account of a couple girls who thought it would be cute to suit up with us. We didn't even go as hard against those two as we would have against each other because we didn't want to hurt them, even though our coaches said everyone was fair game. But, we hit them hard enough for them to understand that some things just shouldn't be done by a girl/woman, and tackle football in pads against boys/men is at the top of that list. Especially on our team.
We also had a couple girls who joined the weight lifting and wrestling teams. One of them joined both teams. They wrestled against boys on the team, but when it came to matches, the FHSAA wouldn't allow them to compete for obvious reasons.
At the younger ages, girls can compete fairly well against boys. It's common to see girls playing alongside boys in Youth Sports until the age of 11. But typically, by 12, we all know things start changing physically for us. Two years of development is all it takes to cement those differences, between the ages of 11-13. By the time both sexes are 13, the physical strength and capability comparisons are so wide it's dangerous to allow boys to compete with girls. And it just keeps widening from there until roughly around the age of 21, even if regular exercise doesn't play a role. That's how powerful testosterone is. There's plenty of videos out there of high school boys playing pro level female soccer and basketball players and basically destroying them. I'm talking about boys around 14-15 running circles around women between 7-10 yrs older than them. That's how fast the gap widens in only two years.
It's not just physical strength that's affected either. A male's coordination level is much higher than a woman's. So is our pattern recognition, as well as our thought processes, and reaction times. This has been measured time and again by scientists. It's why we're the doninant species. It's also why certain women who have been mildly successful in men's dominated areas have been celebrated, such as in auto racing, military fighter piloting, Olympic-style shooting events, etc. But if you put those beat women up against the best men in their fields, they still come up short in the end because they're just not quick enough in their reaction times. It may only be fractions of a second, but that's all it takes sometimes. It's just the way it is.
I hope these assholes that are robbing those girls of hard earned awards and accolades get what's coming to them. Mental illness shouldn't be rewarded or celebrated, it should be treated with the proper care and medication needed to help people lead normal lives. There isn't anything normal about any of this. And it damned sure isn't healthy.
Interesting comment, and it needs to be its own post. A couple of things I want to mention. First, girls can play tackle football, but they need to have their own divisions just like in all other sports. That being said, the movie Little Giants was famous for having a girl play a position, but we are talking teams of 10-11 year olds in that movie.
Second, Women/girls can win in auto racing. However it takes a fuel mileage race to do so. The only race I can remember Danica Patrick winning was a race in Japan and the trophy was taller than her. Yes it was a fuel mileage race, but I don't care because they produce somewhat unlikely winners including 1989 winner Darrell Waltrip. Aside from that, the reason women don't do well in racing is because they have weaker leg muscles than men and you need those muscles to push the clutch, brake, and gas pedals. Also, the cars don't have power steering so you need muscles to move the steering wheel.
Imagine being such a loser that you change your sex, removing your genitalia just to win a medal, while the majority of the people on the sidelines look on in disgust.
They need to be institutionalised. The “doctors” responsible given the death penalty, after all fair trial of course.
She switched events after knocking down all the hurdles as a sprinter.
These types of events only serve to wake up kids and parents who look on and watch the champion girls take second place.
