Yakuza is a Japanese mafia. The politician was CCP Chinese. Chinese especially hate the Japanese. There were multiple attacks in China last year on Japanese - even children. The Japanese are more like, leave us the hell alone, but they don't demonstrate overt hatred like the Chinese little pinks do. The CCP is their own type of mafia. So the likelihood of a CCP connected US politician being connected to Yakuza is slim to none. If anything, the politician was there not just to influence the American political system on behalf of the CCP, but to keep an eye on Japanese activities.
