Devil's advocate (and MAGA) here. I don't disagree with AG Paxton's sentiment. However, my understanding so far is that most any elected county sheriff has way more authority than most people realize. So what's stopping the elected sheriff from telling Paxton to pound sand?
(Remember, it can and does work both ways on the left-right spectrum. Be careful what you wish for as a wise man once said.)
Paxton says he wants "to keep violent illegals off the streets." This implies that he supports well-behaved wetbacks wandering freely and working in violation of law.
I understand your point & yes many if not most are fraud but then again there are legit cases, Anyways, I came back to reply right now because I am listening to the cabinet meeting & among many other things Marco Rubio just mentioned that they made arrangements with 20 other neutral countries to take those people (whose lives could be in danger if they went back to where they were)
I can appreciate that not all of these people trying to come here are problematic. I get that. But the reality is that the vast majority are fighting aged men traveling alone. I never see any women or children in photos/footage.
There isn’t a single person from these third world shitholes that would be a net benefit to our country. That may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. If we never took another immigrant from the third world, we would just fine.!
Did you read my whole comment? That's a moot point now. Rubio t mentioned that they made arrangements with 20 other neutral countries to take those people. So they will be shipped off to one of those 20 counties, not their own country where they face persecution.
Yeah I did. I agree with you. My response wasn’t necessarily aimed at you. I was just speaking generally about my feelings on the immigration issue overall.
I am glad to hear what Rubio said. Now I just hope it actually works out that way. We have been the safety net of the third world citizenry for far too long. They all need to stay and fix their own countries if things are so dangerous there.
Love it!

I will never understand how anyone opposes the deportation of anyone in this country illegally. I just do not get it.
IDK but there are probably some legitimate cases of refugees who had to flee for their lives before they got the paperwork done.
And? Why is it our job as a country to house every single person seeking asylum because their country is a third world disaster?
I bet so many people are full of it claiming they are fleeing from imminent danger and risk to their lives.
I’m sorry, but we need to halt all immigration for a time in order to properly address what is going on in this country.
Just like it isn’t our job to police the world, it isn’t our job to make sure everyone is out of dangerous countries.

Almost like they were listening to us, eh?
