Then small studies started coming out saying it was effective if given early on after infection, but they were deemed too small to be "evidence".
So larger studies were started that intentionally used patients in late stage infection, they showed little benefit, as expected. That was then deemed to be "evidence" ivermectin didn't work.
There were other studies that purposefully gave extremely low doses of ivermectin, they showed little to no benefit, as expected because the dosage was so low. Those studies were deemed to be "evidence" that it didn't work.
This is how they manipulate science. They have redefined what "evidence" is so that only their "evidence" counts and anything that goes against the narrative isn't deemed to be "evidence".
Operation Paperclip ended long ago. Lara Logan is being hyperbolic. The "American medical system" is only the triumph of allopathic medicine and its recourse to pharmaceuticals. It does not take Nazi ideology to arrive at a gravely flawed view of medicine.

I use ivermectin for the common cold. If I start feeling sick I take ivermectin and I'm fine within 24 hours. I don't need to take anything else other than ivermectin for the cold.

The drugs facilitate the porosity of cell walls to allow zinc from the bloodstream to pass into the interior of the cell.
