Saving face. Watched this last night. Makes perfect sense. Confirms what we all know. Trump is crazy like a fox. Everything has meaning.

Yes it's confirmation about what we already know about Trump. Trump did not have to go to this summit. Xi needed Trump to go to help bolster his shaky standing within the Party that is racked with deadly factional infighting and power struggles. Trump gave Xi that face ahead of the 21st Party Congress next year where Xi hopes to win another term. Xi owes Trump big time for possibly saving his political asteroids.
