Makes me wonder why all of these gerrymandering cases are coming out of the USSC right now instead of a year ago. I understand timing is everything, but dang, these rulings put a dagger in the heart of the lefts efforts to cheat. Why are these rulings coming out in May instead of November of last year? Who was holding them up until now? Why are all gerrymandering cases being decided now, instead of being releases piecemeal through the previous months? Just some of my ruminations.
It was reported that the 3 liberal justices held up on submitting their dissents to drag it out and try to run out the clock so redistricting could not take place before the midterms in 2026.
