I removed CD/DVD drives from my PC's. Now they're external/USB.
I stopped buying physical media before they stopped making it.
You chose to not buy a phone with an SD card slot. I still have mine. The most secure phones don't use them because media stored on them usually isn't encrypted.
I dropped cable TV and I never paid for a streaming subscription.
You chose to be always online.
They tried to cap bandwidth and charge more per GB, consumer's revolted. My NVMO is 15 dollars for Unlimited minutes and 10 gigabytes. I seldom talk on the phone to justify 100 minutes.
If you want cheaper cable price drop it and customer retention will call back with a lower price.
Piracy always offered a better user experience.

Piracy has a much better interface, with limited narrative algorithms too.
