I wanna start by saying I am very very appreciative of Trump and him calling for Prayer and Rededication of America back to God. As many of you know my intentions when I left for the event were simply to meet people and network. Yet God had other plans. So I am simply sharing what I noticed even though I don't yet have the answers
-
we were 1 mile back in line and it took 4 hours to get into the event. At times the line barely moved. Surely there is a way to help that process more or at least utilize those 4 hours in a productive way. The people I met in line were actually one of my favorite parts. Though I noticed many remained to themselves
-
Protestors were hanging out around the lines. I noticed many Christians decided to talk bad about them...yet it was a prayer event so some group prayer at that time would have been awesome. Genuinely loving on them rather then just talking about them
-
once we got in a noticed immediately a yucky feeling. Honestly I felt like I was at a rally. To much Trump and America. Not enough Jesus and God. This isn't to say I didn't see some people kneeling in prayer or wearing God centered stuff. Just that I felt like a mix between concerts and rally.
-
the food was way way over priced and honestly not the best for you. 18-20 for a pizza and having to wait 1-130 in line for it. It felt like many people got food, sat down and ate and then just listened to whoever was on stage..
-
from what I saw there was no mass prayer breakouts. Most the prayer came from the men and woman on stage and the crowd simply followed along.
-
I looked up the company that ran it and the guy that was in charge. 400million dollars..owns a massive company. We talked the other day(c/Christianity) about church being a business and this is exactly the spirit I felt there.
-
merchandise was for sale in a tent. Didn't see a prayer tent though. Honestly wanted to make a whip and flip tables but I simply just observed
I might have some more to add to this. Again I don't have the solutions but this event feels like a one time thing and now we are on to the next news cycle.. prayer events is something I have been passionate about for 5 years now and I believe to truly take off it has to be grass roots. The companies that sponsored it were by no means Christian. MasterCard, exonmobil. I'm all for then donating but I also wonder how much they were able to control behind the scenes..
One thing I wish they would have done is gotten on stage for a min and given a topic. Then asked us to break off into groups of 50 or so(feed the 5000 anybody) and to spend some time in group prayer over these things.
As of right now I'm still praying on solutions. I hate to sound like im complaining. I went there with a completely different plan and God said nope...Ryan pay attention. So I observed and took notes and prayed..Gods funny. We plan something and he plans better.
I wanna end by saying i truly appreciate the chance to be there and that they even had an event. So don't wanna take away from that and I am sure there is much I missed as well. I don't have all the answers but I felt led to share all this
Yep he gave a video message..my guess is that the logistics would have made it more difficult.. honestly though I wish he would have prayed and repented himself in the message..I understand he is probably new to alot of that and I love him dearly and don't wanna be to harsh
President Trump praying and repenting would make him look weak and would hurt the movement. MAGA needs to be led by someone who is strong and confident. If President Trump has anything to repent of, he can do that in private. Not showing your weakness is classic Sun Tzu, Art of War.
At what point should this change. Are you saying it's weak to publicly repent of shortcoming..to me it takes way more strength to be honest and repent
We would see it as strength, but many would see it as weakness. Power is perception. He won't be able to make any changes if he doesn't have power, so in this case, it looks like the ends justify the means.
What does God see it as though
It is universally seen as weakness to not practice your faith for fear of how it will look to others, especially your enemies. Also, even if United States foreign policy and military war plans all boiled down to being dictated by Sun Tzu's primer that is on public high school reading lists, it also says appear weak when you are strong. So turns out it is fine to practice your faith as a leader even if by some ridiculous notion it makes you look weak. To Iran, a theocracy. lol
Ninivah the King on down repented.
President Trump needed to rest due to his trip to China. They are 12 hours ahead of us and the trip itself must be tiring. It most certainly is for the west coast NFL teams that make a trip to the east coast and lose time in the process. Then you tack on a 1 PM ET start. This change can affect a team's performance. Now imagine Trump's return trip. He needed the weekend off.
He golfed outside on a golf course. Look it up. Our guy famously does. not. rest.
Golf is a form of relaxation, as long as you don't make a massive mistake.
Prayer to and repentance before God is weakness, you heard it here first.
This type of thought makes a huge schism in Christianity today and that is why it was corporatized.
We can't afford any missteps, our country hangs in the balance here.
Praying to and being humble before god is a misstep, you heard it here first.
I was there also, the video seemed like it was recorded a while ago, it felt odd.
Yeah it felt very odd.
What did you think of the event. I would love your feedback. God is calling me to eventually set up events state by state so any feedback or honest thoughts are appreciated
I don't want to talk badly, but the whole thing came off like a giant money grab. Everything was so expensive and the Trump merch was so blatant. Did you see the bright gold hats and shirts that had weird AI pictures of Trump and Jesus high fiving? There was also a guy walking around selling little golden statues of Trump right inside the entrance.
I spent a lot of time talking to different people. One of the most odd people I spoke with was an older woman who worked for the Merriweather Post Pavilion. She told me most of the workers there were from the concert venue and were getting paid really well to be there which I thought was great, but she also said that the company that put it on Freedom 250 was setup by the White House and they are also running the UFC Fight on Trump's birthday at the White House.
She told me the company was run by Keith Krach who was the CEO of Docusign which was the fastest growing company after Zoom during Covid, and he required all employees to get the jab and his biggest funder was BA Venture Partners who built the structure that almost all porn sites run on today.
But, let's put all of that aside, it did just feel icky in general and that piped in pre-recorded video (which since my last comment I did a little more research into). That video was reused and slightly edited from another prayer event from two years ago which made me pretty angry.
Wow glad to hear you say this cause it affirms many of my thoughts..yes Jesus really showed me some ways to improve the event moving forward..I believe a grass roots one would be better then a multi millionaire running things. Everything from the leader to the Sponsors felts kinda off. I wanted to flip the merch table.
The Lord is calling me to build a ministry, a global network of believers Called Prayer Garden. One aspect of it is to create events similar to the one in DC. However Jesus told me things should be a little different and that it shouldn't be about any one person or Group. It's about Jesus.
I would love to hear any thoughts and ideas on how best to create something. Prayer Garden plans on going state by state so people can take part in a more local way.
I thought it would have been really cool if at the 250 event someone went up and gave a prayer topic. Then asked the crowd to break off into groups of 50-100 and each group prayes. Then switch topics and switch groups. I do think what they did as far as the program was ok. Just that it shouldn't have been an all day thing. Maybe just a portion like that with other stuff mixed in.
Also I believe we should ditch the merchandise tent(sell stuff before or after) and replace it with a prayer tent.
Seek out Christian volunteers rather then all paid staff, the food would have been cool if local or small businesses could provide. Food should be healthier and not have to wait 1 hour to be served.
The line to get In: everyone that RSVP gets a time. At that time they get in line. This way it would shorten the line and those that didn't RSVP wouldn't have to wait 4 hours to get in.
Sponsors: find Christian companies to help support it. Secular ones can support but really try to lift up the Christian ones.
Line: have some strong prayer warriors walking along the line asking and encouraging people to get together and pray. If there are protestors, the line captain calls all the people in line together to pray for protestors...
The last 5 years I have been, step by step, building up this ministry. I have a pretty solid global and national connections. Jesus told me to now focus mainly local. So Im setting up the non profit and networking here in Delaware..so please keep me and Prayer garden in your prayers and feel free to be open and honest with thoughts and/or Criticism. Much love and truly value your thoughts..
🙏Together through Christ we have endless potential 🙏
Appreciate your perspective. I honestly think if it mattered so greatly to him that he would've found a way to actually be there.
I am also curious as to how often you heard Jesus being directly talked about by the speakers? Like Jesus being explicitly named and not just people saying "the lord" and "god".
Jesus was named a lot
