Ironically. I’ve endlessly seen my packages lost or stolen by FedEx and UPS. But the post office reliably manages to deliver the package. They just deliver it a day or two later than what they said they would.
Meanwhile other people get the opposite problem. The Post Office looses or steals their shit constantly and either FedEx or UPS End up being the reliable option.
I mean no. But if you’re stupid enough to send large quantities of cash via any sort of package/mail service. USPS, UPS, FedEx etc. You shouldn’t be surprised it vanishes.
It was more a general statement that there’s something ironic in the fact that USPS seems to be the only one able to reliably deliver physical packages to me outside Amazon. While other people have the opposite problem in that getting anything from USPS is like pulling teeth. With their packages and shit vanishing while they conversely have better luck with FedEx and UPS.
Which was followed by me questioning whether I just had crap luck.
Unfortunately, it does seem like every method is a cross-your-fingers-and-hope proposition nowadays. 'Always a relief when things arrive and arrive intact.
Well, all the shipping and mail is xrayed so if it's cash, workers know. Or is that just a rumor?
Funny not-funny story: I always use uspo because recipients complain about others so much. So last month, I shipped 2500. of original art to my bestest dear repeat clients, insured, sig required, in Michigan. We all grow concerned and start tracking that box. Lo, and behold, the Phoenix postal terminal, sent the box to freaking Anchorage Alaska, who then sent it to Michigan. Damn well know that was the work of some careless human mail sorter.

So, you'd be ok with sending a few hundred $ in cash via USPS?
(A couple acquaintances attempted such a thing from one state to another state only two states away a few years ago and, . . ., SURPRISE! NOT! The recipient received an envelope with the message/letter intact but bereft of the cash. Possible method: https://www.google.com/search?q=have+split+needles+been+used+to+remove+money+from+envelopes%3F&sca_esv=a3f4bc3cdf2f2a50&biw=384&ei=ehgNaousFdHIkPIPmYCykA4&bih=600&oq=have+split+needles+been+used+to+remove+money+from+envelopes%3F )

Agree. A friend orders a moderate amount of "stuff" online and tracks everything. The circuitous trips some packages take are quite "interesting".
