President Trump made the mistake of thinking he could work amicably with these embedded scumbags in his first term. He now knows that is nearly impossible and has changed strategy to get rid of the worst of them. The remaining will get in line or get gone. Taking care of business in the only way that works....removing the roots and tentacles of a rotting system.
Respectfully, I must question people who claim that Trump makes mistakes. We all know by now that he is surrounded by a massive team. He never tries to do anything without knowing the outcome in advance. And if he doesn't know that outcome, then he does things intentionally to experiment and gather data. There are no mistakes.
Well and I respectfully disagree with you. President Trump himself admitted to "mistakes" in some of his picks in his first term. I'm sure the Q team advises but we know POTUS is his own man and has a voice of his own. If you are not familiar with the quote, I will try to find it or you can look for your self.
Republican presidential nominee former President Trump gestures at a campaign rally, Oct. 23, 2024, in Duluth, Ga.
Former President Trump said the “biggest mistake” of his presidency was picking “bad, disloyal people” to join his administration.
“The biggest mistake I made was I picked some people. I picked some great people, you know, but you don’t think about that. I picked some people that I shouldn’t have picked,” Trump said during his Friday appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.” “I picked a few people that I shouldn’t have picked.”

Yes indeed.
They're being EXPOSED, for all to see. Consequences incoming....
Thune's not spineless. He has great spine to resist Trump and most of the R voters. What he is, is a DIRC (Democrat in Republican Clothing.).
I congratulate you on a more temperate way of describing what I would term "a shaved asshole."
