Yes, you’re right. I just looked that up and discovered they did not become citizens until after Marco was born. He was able to run for president in 2016. I’m wondering if the birthright citizenship that Trump is trying to overturn would affect Marco’s ability to ever be president if this happens. It appears to me that as of right now, he would be able to become president. I never thought about how this could affect Marco until you brought this up.
It is really a travesty that he in paticular would not be allowed to be a US president. Enough so that it should be rectified somehow, on this individual basis.
