Since last Thursday I've been laid up in my house with an ailment that has my sinuses blocked and green phlegm coughing up. I've taken all sorts of medicines to help reduce the symptoms: Allegra, sudafed, BC powder, NiteQuil, and i might be going on an antibiotic if things don't change. Nothing seems the help so im asking if ya'll have any ideas on how to get rid of this crap.
I think it started when on Wednesday I turned over my compost pile. It took me eight hours to accomplish that task because i have so much compost. Then Thursday I raked a small area just below the compost pile, cut the stubble down with a lawn mower, and then transfered the remains up to the compost pile. Four hours of that activity.
Got back into the house and began feeling crappy, sinus stuffy, snotty, and lethargic. Four days later I figured it would have run it course but it is tenaciously hanging on. Got any suggestions on how i can get relief? Thanks.
Amish fire water... Doesn't require steeping like fire cider. Really helps break up snot. I also invested in one of those cheap wet saunas off Amazon and absolutely love it for cold season.
How to Make Amish Fire Water
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon sea salt 1/2 cup boiling water 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (raw, unfiltered)
Stir the cayenne and sea salt into the boiling water until dissolved. Add the apple cider vinegar and stir again.
To Use: At the first sign of nasal congestion or a cold, I take 1 tablespoon every 15 minutes for the first hour, then 1 tablespoon hourly until the whole batch is gone. One batch lasts a typical adult about 6 to 8 doses.
Netipot. High doses of zinc (30-40mg) if it's beginning of cold. NAC (not sure on dosage since fire water and other remedies above always worked for me) Bathtub with Epson salt, baking soda
I’m writing this down!
