The IRGC continue to bait Trump into returning to full scale reengagement because they need it to keep the leadership from eating itself and losing whatever public durka revolutionary jihadi support it has left - which of late is questioning the regime leadership. The regime desperately needs an external enemy to unite the fractured regime that are currently engaged in an intense power struggle over who will control the country and its resources. Trump is not falling for it. The economic blockade and Trump's ambiguous negotiating games are doing more damage to the regime than bombs ever could. Time is on Trump's side, not the regime.
