President Trump Delivers Shocking Response to Question About USMCA Renewal - The Last Refuge
It is not shocking to us. It is not shocking to anyone who has followed this story for the past few years. It is particularly not shocking to you. However, the Canadians are going bananas right now. President Donald Trump responded to a question about ...
I'm a Canadian. I'm not going bananas, this was totally expected, given how the CDN government has approached the situation. Carney's real agenda is to bankrupt and destroy Canada so that his U.N., WEF and World Bank buddies can reap the spoils while the regular Canadian folks EAT ZEE BUUGS!

Eat ze elk! I’m just personally pissed at Canada because they’re so one way with employment. They deliberately sent thousands of people to LA to work in the entertainment industry, simultaneously luring production to Vancouver but try working in Vancouver as an American. Even if you’re married to a Canadian! No can do! Enjoy your bugs. Oh and if you’ve ever gone through customs going into Canada you’ve met the biggest jerks in the world who treat everyone like a criminal. Choke on your bugs, Canucks.
Why would you want to work in Canada though? Wages are 60% of what you'd make in the US and then you get taxed around 54% after that.
I have been to Canada, but it was back in early 2000's, and I don't remember it being particularly thuggish. Wonder if it has changed much since then. I also found the Canadian people to be a pleasant race. I have to say that I was impressed by the cleanliness/upkeep of Toronto, the Space Needle area particularly.
I did note, that Playboy, around this time, listed Toronto in the top ten, if not the top, on the list of ugliest woman in North America, and it seemed justified from what I saw.
Calgary, back before the influx of jeets and other invaders, had the highest percentage of hot women in Canada, imo. I had the opportunity to be at the Calgary Stampede 4 years in a row in the early 2000's. I figured out that if you bought the biggest pop and found a bench along the midway that you got to see tons of good looking women as they strolled by. It was impressive. Plus, many other nice looking women as I wandered about the city.
I think Payboy had it right about Toronto.
My mind went to "What is the state of the Stay Free Alberta movement." Did some looking and it seem this is a pipe dream.
As of mid-June 2026, the Alberta separatist/independence movement remains active and has forced a high-profile provincial referendum, but it continues to lack majority support and faces major legal and practical obstacles.
Key Recent Developments
Current Support Levels
Recent polling shows support for independence is a minority position and has declined:
Sentiment is stronger in rural areas and among those frustrated with federal energy and climate policies, but overall it reflects alienation more than a committed push to leave.
Challenges
Summary: The movement has enough energy to trigger a significant October vote that will act as a political pressure test and barometer of Western alienation. However, with support trending downward and clear majority opposition, it is unlikely to lead to actual separation. A strong "remain" result could deflate momentum, while federal political shifts (e.g., a Conservative government) might further reduce tensions. The situation remains fluid but grounded in protest more than viable exit.
From everything I have heard, there is far more support than the 300,000+ signatures indicates. Many people wanted to sign but, were afraid to sign due to the frozen bank accounts, and such, from the truckers protest. Many people are afraid of being targeted by the feds but said they support the movement and would vote for independance. And, every time Carney opens his mouth about Alberta more people are swayed towards independence.
If you are getting your information from polls and MSM you are being manipulated. Polls are meant to persuade people, not to show true support either way. Anything the MSM says is suspect because they are the propaganda arm of the government. This kind of misinformation is expected and expected to intensify as things get closer to the referendum for a referendum.
And, I don't have any faith that a conservative government will do anything for the west. They might throw us a few bones to try and suppress the independence movement, and that might work for a bit but, the conservative party in Canada is just the right wing of the same political bird. Nothing of substance will change. It would just be a matter of time until the movement starts building again. I was around when the Reform Party did their thing back in the day and this is bigger and has more legs that Reform ever did.
I do not dispute that depending on the accuracy of the source "Grok" for the information I posted in comment, that everything I said could be vastly different that how thing really are.
