The problem is that those Trump is trying to negotiate with hold no real power. They never did. Those in the civilian government were only there to put a rubber stamp on the dictates of the mullahs and the IRGC to give the impression of a functioning government. Many of them, like Speaker of the Parliament Ghalibaf, have backgrounds in the IRGC or are connected with it. Dealing with the Islamic Regime is not the same as dealing with Venezuela in thinking that there can be some kind of a transition to more "moderate" leaders. Those being labeled as "moderates" are just as bad as the outright hardliners, if not worse. They just hide it better to outsiders. They are all cut from the same bolt of cloth.
There are no right Iranians within the current regime. They are all equally as bad and all have Iranian blood on their hands. Anyone that thinks otherwise does not understand the occupying regime. They all need to go.
That would be the resistance of the Immortal Guard and defectors from the Artesh - all under the direction of the Crown Prince. He and his "government" in exile are the only group that can lead a free Iran and a legitimate government. Unfortunately, that will not come easily as the current evil regime will try to burn it all down rather than surrender.
One good thing I am hearing from Iranians that monitor the social media accounts of regime supporters is that some are asking questions and stating outright they are on the verge of turning against the regime because they perceive it as weak and surrendering to the Americans. These people are even more radical and diehard than many in the regime itself. If the regime loses the support of these people they are done. The regime actually armed many of them to shoot the Iranian people. Their plan may actually backfire on them. Trump's statements are wreaking havoc inside the regime to the point that the regime's propaganda is slowly loosing the battle to control the narrative.
Israel has been bombing hospitals, schools and civilians in Tehran. War Crimes are not a way to win a War, that is supposed to lead us to Peace and Civility.
middle finger time........

How about just a friendly game of volleyball...
The problem with the power struggle is that the Iranians are just as slippery in their internal dealings as they jockey for power..
I believe that negotiation with the right Iranians is baked into this somehow.

I am thinking of the resistance and a totally different government, and I believe Trump has this option in hand.

Here is the flaw in your thinking.
It has been proven in so many wars, including this one, they take over hospitals and schools and turn them into military bases.
This is so people like you say these types of comments.
Exactly.
