I asked a question in today's General Chat earlier, and bubble_bursts recommended I make that question and his answer into its own post, so here we go.
(first, my original question)
Forgive me, but I need to be reminded of one of the basics of this movement.
A common criticism I hear from haters is "He calls himself Q Clearance Patriot, or Q for short. Q clearance is a clearance level within the Department of Energy. What does THAT have to do with anything?"
And I've never been able to shake that question. It's a good point.
If this is a military op, why the Department of Energy?
I know there's an answer for this. I just need to be reminded what it is.
(and now the answer, courtesy of u/bubble_bursts)
Uranium One was what started all this. (Read the full board of the day of the first q drop for me details)
That is the origin of Q and that's where we are headed to disclosure in Iran. Full circle
Q drop 48 was also linked by someone in response to my question, and it looks important:
Theoretically the President can demand to see anything. He technically doesn't even have a clearance (along with SCOTUS and CONgress) - they have clearances by virtue of being elected to those positions (or appointed by POTUS). I have a problem with that myself - especially when a CONgressman dies and a Governor appoints a temp successor - but that's the way it is. POTUS owns the clearance process and can award or deny any clearances. As the head honcho he can see anything he wants.
He can also clear anyone that he wants - even family members. In many cases that is a very good idea (like clearing Melania so he has someone to talk to that he trusts). In others (like maybe Hunter?) it can be a bad idea. He can do it, regardless of what OPM or whoever else has a stake in the process, and it will last as long as he is President. He can (and has) clear people on the outside if he wishes, because Presidents need advisors since it is impossible for them to know everything about everything. He might need to talk to someone about bioweapons for example, and maybe the world's leading expert is some nutcase professor at a university. It is entirely up to him.
There has long been talk of Presidents being stonewalled out of some highly-classified projects, but the people doing that have no legal right and could/SHOULD be prosecuted. POTUS has to make decisions on behalf of our country and needs all the information he can get. If he really wanted to, he could fire everyone that is stonewalling him and eventually get to see what he wants - but he will never see what he doesn't even know exists. The Deep State loves their secrets and wield them like weapons.
One thing many people do not know about - when the President's term is over he is no longer covered as being an elected official that is due to be cleared. Typically they maintain that access as long as the next POTUS agrees. However - if we get some dumocrat POTUS they will probably rescind Trump's access as retaliation for taking away so many clearances from the people that deserved to be stripped of all secrets (like Brennan and Clapper for example).
