Please Pray for My Family Frens
Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
Yesterday, we lost my beloved son, 34 yo, to what is most likely a fentanyl overdose. Our hearts are broken, although we know he sits at the big table with Jesus right now. Addiction is one of the most gut-wrenching things a family can go through, and it touches so many. Please keep us in prayer.
I feel your pain. I too have experienced the loss of family from the scourge of drug addiction. Sadly, I still have family that are riding that knife edge playing Russian Roulette with their lives. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your devastating loss. Prayers coming your way. May his memory be for blessing.
Dear Lord, please break the bonds of addiction for u/mac1221 's family members. Draw them to salvation through your son, Jesus. Fill them with your Holy Spirit. I ask this in Jesus' Mighty name & to your glory. Amen.
Thank you so much. You can never have enough prayer. I have two nephews struggling. The oldest one was on a program and had been clean for about a year. He then had a relapse. Lately he seems to be back on track, God willing. The other is only in his early twenties and has been a handful. So far he has managed to stay in a residential program going on four weeks. He never stayed anywhere more than a day before he would leave. He was on the streets. A small move forward in a better direction. We'll take it.
God bless you fren.
God loves your nephews. Earlier today, out of the blue, I was prompted to pray for those addicted. Then I saw this post about Glory's son & your response. God wants no one to die without knowing that Jesus died for their sins. Their darkness is not too dark for him.
Thank you. With God there is no such thing as coincidence.
I know my older nephew knows this. We have talked about it - several times. The deception of addiction is an especially dark form of slavery and difficult to break. I have hope for my older nephew because this last year before he relapsed was the longest amount of time that he has stayed clean in years. He got in trouble quickly when he went off the wagon. Praise God charges were dropped and he will get out of this incident with little to no damage. He already has found a new job. But he did have to cool his jets in jail for a few days giving him time to dry out and think more clearly. I have told him many times that God has a hand on him, and because of that, he cannot run away even if he tries. But, God will make the journey more difficult to climb out of over time till the lesson is learned. Don't wander in the wilderness for 40 years.
He is talking about leaving the state and going to TX. I think it would be a good move for him just to get out of being surrounded by familiarity that makes it easier to relapse. That way old contacts would not be bouncing back into his life. Make a clean break of it all. I know many former addicts that also made a move to keep their sobriety. He has a good buddy, a recovered former addict, that has been a good influence on him. They are talking about making the move together.
The younger nephew, right now it's touch and go. His father currently lives with me so I can regularly check on my nephew's progress. So far, so good. He may actually make 30 days in this new program. Like I stated, it's a small victory, but we will take it. His parents did take him to church for several years. But how much of it stuck, I don't know. We have sent up a lot of prayers for the boy and I know the Almighty hears our prayers. Thank you for yours. Their names are Jesse and Giovani.
Thank you.
