Just called my Dad. He was in the middle of making his world famous scrambled eggs. Something I cannot recreate. Even after watching him do it many times.
I would love to, but as I said, it seems impossible to duplicate. He also knows the perfect bread to toast and the perfect amount of butter to put on the toast. The Brits do simple things to perfection.
Nothing fancy like that. In a frying pan with years of experience. Very fortunate to have both parents living. Sadly, my Mother's memory is fading fast.
I'm glad you still have them but sorry about her memory. Tell her everything you want her to know now and ask her to tell you stories about her childhood, family & everything else you want to know.
Make sure you video them sharing their memories. It will be your treasure! There will be a time someday when you just want to hear their voices. ✨
Sourdough buttered (take shot glass and make a hole in bread). Toast both sides first then crack an egg into the hole. Flip after a minute (Over Easy). Sprinkle top of toast with sea salt then add cheese of your choice.
does he use low heat & slow cook them for like 20 minutes?
last week I reviewed with one of my relatives, another method is slosly scrambling them in a small pan over a pot of simmering water on a stove, taking about 20 to 30 minutes, I haven’t tried it

My Daddy (Southern girls always call their Father's Daddy! 💖) was a gourmet cook and now he's cooking in Heaven! ✨🌌
I used to call my dad Daddy too. He is in heaven rest in peace.
Amen! We were blessed to have them!
Thanks be to God.
Would you care to elaborate Sir on the Recipe.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom. We are going on a road trip to visit the small town she was born in, later this year.
That will be a wonderful trip! Enjoy making memories!
Mine is Toad in the Hole with a Cheesy Cheesy Blanket!
Toad in a Hole, looks well worth attempting to make. My Dad made bubble & squeak once. The natives complained and he never made it again.

Oh share the recipe!
There is NO recipe. Technique is the key.
Hmm sounds like a you tube video might be in order.
Just kidding.
I'm visiting my Dad in August. I will film him making scrambled eggs and make it available for viewing somehow.
