As a Brit I find this all a bit worrying. I cannot remember anything like this ever happening before.
We had an unpopular Prime Minister so the solution is to find someone who is not even a Member of Parliament, get someone to step down in a safe seat for that Party. Get their new candidate elected then promote him to Prime Minster.
They are admitting that none of the existing 400 or so Labour MPs were suitable! That already speaks volumes. Then they fast track the chosen one to the top position.
You will note that Starker waited until they got the shouted new Socialist into Parliament (because he couldn't become PM if he was not an MoP) before announcing his resignation whichh.will not happen until there is a new MP elected
Of course he will manipulate the voting from behind the scenes...
