Even when the meaning is accurate the memers can't quote it accurately! It says, emphasis original:

If you are quoting a source with relative validity but can't even be bothered to post the exact words when that's available to anyone within seconds, it's probable the memers' meaning can't be trusted either. Maurice Samuel's actual meaning is a simple triumphalism, expressed in pp. 146-147:

You gentiles fight because you like to fight; we fight because we have to—and in order to win. It is not in a spirit of hypocrisy that you talk of playing the Game while you cut each other's throats in the markets. You mean it.
