Well, yeah, but learn the lesson of the World Cup. Supposedly, gazillions of Europeans, etc, had the impression that the USA is [this] and then found out, by personal direct experience, that the USA is {this}.
The media sphere and notably the info war is packed chocablock with the negative information and happenings that rightfully warriors for truth and freedom should be paying attention to, but these are actually limited incidents, and are not representative of the whole experience, or the majority experience, in those countries. I'll bet.
Unless you are talking about North Korea.
No, the media coverage is there because its important to their agenda (and also to the Awakening, actually), but visiting any of those countries is not going to be that experience.... probably 90% of the time.
Living in those countries, however, well, yeah. Things are bad, really bad. The countries' directions are the issue. But if you want to see the good things in France, Italy, Slovakia, even Canada, or elsewhere (UK?), that's not going to significantly impact your visit.
World Cup syndrome. The sensational information that comes across social media and legacy media does NOT represent the reality of most people's daily life. What would you say to soccer fans who said "I want to go to the World Cup, but... dude, its in America. you know what its like there. Street violence everywhere. Riots. People have guns and there is gun violence all the time. NO thanks!!!"

Um, no.
