Correct. There's zero chance that this isn't part of the entire resurrection of American identity. The fact that Trump is serving as sitting president during the World Cup in the US, the Olympics in the US in 2028, and America's 250th birthday, the fact that all of that is aligned to one presidential term, tells me that this was all part of the plan. Which also means that Trump allowed the loss in 2020.
The only ones demoralized are the ones not paying attention or ones that are addicted to their grievances or both. Real Americans already know how amazing all of our incredible cities really are. They know it isn't perfect anywhere in this world, and that it would probably suck if it was. We love America, warts and all! We've been proud to show it off for 250 years!
City mouse/country mouse, I guess. But it is and always has been in fact, a truly american city that is woven deeply into the fabric, the self conception, of what it is to be of the USA.
I think the move to host was by design.
All of recent world cup host bids are for some reason (this one might have be because of the Awakening)

This is definitely one big reason for it - if only for demoralized Americans.

I would have liked to be one of those number visiting the US heartland, but I am too old and arthritic to travel anymore.
I did visit NY in 1972 when in the Royal Navy and was told that NY wasn't the USA at all.
You were lied to for some reason. It was the 11th state admitted to the Union.
They were not talking politically but socially, that to see NY was not the same as visiting the rest of the USA.

Is this written by the same Josh Hammer that helped plan and execute the public assassination of Charlie Kirk?
