If Charlie was shot in the neck why would his shirt have pressure waves upward and outward? Why does Charlie appear to have a laceration wound instead of bullet wound that has no exit point? Why would Tyler Robinson dissemble a gun then reassemble it to just dump in the woods?
If the bullet was supersonic, there would have been a shock wave impinging on his shirt. Not all bullets leave through wounds. The design objective for most bullets is to penetrate deep enough to accomplish damage, but not to penetrate.
As for Tyler Robinson's handiness, they can ask him. The "why" doesn't really matter. I don't suppose thinking clearly was his strong suit. Most people live on a "It seemed like a good idea at the time" basis.
Turns out it was a Remington Core-Lokt soft point round that is intentionally designed to deform and expand on impact, preventing full penetration. Apparently this is a well known fact.
As it turned out (so I hear), the bullet casing stripped off the lead core, which fragmented. No exit wound. No head blown off. Reality defeats all presuppositions.
But not if the powder charge was subnormal. It happens. They are called "dud rounds," and firearms training always covers what to do if one happens. Sometimes the shooter has no idea it happened, and keeps on shooting.
At what point do they present the obvious fact that a 308 round would have taken his head clean off?
They can't. It would destroy their whole narrative.

It was probably a shaped charge in the microphone. It didn't go off quite as planned, but it got the job done.
That’s what I think

That's a bingo
Or ask why the guy in the brown shirt looks like he is setting off a detonator a half second before Charlie’s mic explodes.
A FMJ wouldn't blow his head off, but would leave an exit wound.
A hollow point wouldn't leave an exit wound unless it blew his head off.
Neither narrative makes sense.

His head would be hanging by skin cuz his neck would be pulverized

Oh, well of course , as my hand slaps my forehead
Yeah its already been introduced and makes sense
Obviously you've never been deer hunting
Obviously neither have you.
