1st response some cock & bull story about Compute rentals & cloud processing...I rejected it.
The skepticism is valid, as infrastructure rentals only capture low-margin "commodity" value. The real wealth is generated at the application layer, where software solves multi-billion-dollar enterprise problems.
The most indispensable, high-revenue AI applications are shifting from simple "chatting" to autonomous agents that execute entire corporate workflows from start to finish.
Instead of serving as a writing assistant, AI now acts as an automated employee, drastically lowering overhead costs for corporations.
Customer Service Operations: Voice and chat agents handle full billing, troubleshooting, and booking processes. Businesses deploy platforms like YourAtlas to completely automate inbound and outbound call centers.
Legal and Financial Document Processing: Advanced reasoning models analyze contracts, reconcile multi-million dollar corporate expenses, and flag compliance violations instantly.
2. AI-Accelerated Software Engineering
Software engineering is shifting from manual coding to natural-language system architecture.
The Indispensable Factor: Code editors like Cursor and app builders like Lovable allow non-technical teams to build internal software 3x to 5x faster.
Revenue Impact: Companies drastically shrink their product launch cycles, cutting millions in standard R&D engineering salaries.
3. Supply Chain and Inventory Optimization
Predicting the movement of physical goods is one of the highest Return on Investment (ROI) sectors for corporate AI deployment.
Predictive Demand Planning: Retailers like Walmart use AI to synthesize weather patterns, localized social media data, and historical sales to prevent costly overstocking or stockouts.
Logistics Intelligence: Automated routing dynamically redirects fleets based on traffic, port delays, and fuel efficiency.
4. Hyper-Personalized Commerce and Sales Co-pilots
AI actively drives revenue growth by personalizing individual user journeys across the web.
Chat-to-Revenue Systems: B2B companies leverage tools like Revio to automatically monitor sales DMs, score high-value leads, and process invoices inside chat windows without human intervention.
Dynamic Pricing Engines: E-commerce platforms recalculate prices every few minutes based on a competitor's stock and buyer intent, boosting profit margins by up to 15%.
So essentially...In light of the CURRENT crappy job market where H1Bs are jacking jobs from both middle management positions - ripe for middle aged white dudes AND lower/entry positions like Uber, DoorDash, Amazon delivery etc - According to this response, AI is going to continue to erode job opportunities for regular BORN HERE American citizens. They're essentially looking to fill as many positions as possible using AI - and eliminating the human element. That's a LOT of jobs gone...
Now with this in mind, I don't know how the loss of payroll taxes is going to affect every state's bottom line...or if they're going to create new legislation to tax AI in similar fashion. SOUNDS UGLY! Furthermore - If you're a business owner looking to automate - what's that REALLY going to cost? I saw a recent video showing how companies who gave their employees access to AI tools BLEW THE YEARLY BUDGET IN ONLY A FEW WEEKS!!! And we're talking $ MILLIONS here, not chump change...
I have a hard time believing that Trump would permit this to advance to the stage where none of us have the opportunity to work....If for no other reason than it being a matter of NatSec AND Continuity of Govt - as it relates to the vitality of the American Economy.
The US Economy is one of our crown jewels of the Republic AND Small businesses are the life blood of this country. I'm looking forward to seeing how this is going to play out for the middle class...because right now when I shake the 8-ball, the only thing that keeps coming up is that the Future Looks Uncertain - Try Again Later...
Extra Piece: It's been determined that many AI centers fall under NatSec & Military infrastructure - totally skating around water laws, eminent domain etc...
