I think of that abomination film "Noah" with Russell Crowe that came out years ago.
The director tried to make the movie about industrial pollution destroying the environment... 5 to 10,000 years ago. He had people wearing bronze age plate armor, wearing chainmail and carrying iron weapons in the stone age. Noah is portrayed as a militant vegetarian. What an idiotic mess.
The worst was the movie 10,000 BC. People actually LOSE intelligence by watching it. It shows horses being ridden 5000 years before horses were domesticated, metal swords being used in the stone age, slaves building the Great Pyramids 7,500 years before they were built, woolly mammoths (which were extinct by then) hauling building materials in the desert, etc... .
In this case, the "woke" Odyssey director didn't try to make an accurate film, or even a good film. He wanted to make a "politically correct woke" film. It might make money, or not... but it will be forgotten as being Hollywood trash.
I watched the movie "Michael" yesterday in a repertoire cinema. Have to say, was
thoroughly entertained. The Jackson family had control of the movie casting and they did an excellent job. The man who played Joe Jackson played his part incredibly well. Well worth seeing, if you grew up listing to the Jackson 5 and MJ.

Great post SirBud! 👏
Thanks J1D.
Have a blessed weekend dear fren!
How did it compare to the old Made-for-TV version?
Expecting it was much better, actually.
You'll be Entertained watching this version. You leave the Cinema missing Michael. That is to be expected.
With any luck, Nolan's awful adaptation of The Odyssey will mark the last gasps of woke cinema.
Was odyssey actually bad or did it just have the NOT SURE in it?
It’s hard to imagine a “bad” Nolan movie. He’s been involved in disclosure since he showed up.
Racism wins again
