The Federal government will offering federal funding to states that adopt these election integrity provisions for their elections. Provisions from the original House-passed version of the SAVE America Act, such as a prohibition on mail-in voting are not included in reconciliation. Leadership had narrowed the focus to citizenship proof and voter ID to increase the likelihood of surviving the Senate parliamentarian's review.
Any state in the U.S. can decide to do without the Federal funding and hold their elections without photo voter ID or proof of citizenship and can have all the mail-in fraud voting they want.
