We have a lot things to see and do. If you like Louisiana real cajun country, it's a short drive East. If you like the beach, Galveston Island Texas is just South of town. Like Monster Trucks... then visit for Monster Jam at the Toyota Center. .like BBQ and Rodeo, then the Pasadena Tx BBQ Cookoff and Rodeo is coming up in September. I enjoy that more than the Houston Rodeo. Less crowded, more informal. I enjoy the BBQ competition which is a full night long party til morning while the hundreds of teams are nursing their BBQ smokers all night.
Anyway, it's a genuine offer if you want to consider. You might even be interested in visiting a Christian Cowboy Church, total western theme church complete with wagon wheels, hay bales and John Wayne posters.
It's probably the complete opposite of SE England... and Houston is nothing like London.
Nothing is like London these days..... but maybe Mogadishu or Calcutta could be?
That is a lovely offer my water carrying fren, its softened my heart a lot. I will have to (very reluctantly) say no, I am 2 years away from my 80th birthday and can't walk 100 yards without stopping for breath. Airports alone would be too much for me.
