Mechanic’s lien like this one are tough to to enforce all the way through. They would have to sue to foreclose and it could wind up in court for years. This is being done for the bad pr (which is deserved). The foundation is complete trash for not paying them. It’s sad, but a lien like this on a property that won’t be sold is damn near impossible to enforce
100% correct. It's no different than a remodeler for your home not paying his crew. They would put a lein on your home to pressure you to put pressure on the remodeler, but ultimately it just effects your credit and not much else.
