I only use windows at this moment b/c I have to for certain applications namely Fusion360. In another life linux was what I worked with for a number of years. Personally if you do not need to use windows, I would suggest linux.
Given all we know about what is going on. I question how "critical" some of these security flaws actually are, or perhaps they are actually introducing a flaw. I would say that 99% of the warnings put out are legit, maybe they all are. I just question things now waaaay more than used to 5 yrs ago.
The Q posting has nothing to do with the DHS directive. OS get attacked all the time, but nothing specific to Nov 3. We should keep unrelated items separate. I think most voting machines are already quite exploitable, some built by a Soros-linked company IIRC, so they don't need attacks on OS. DHS is merely getting people's asses to move. All OS have holes; Microsoft has even patched end-of-life OS like WinXP in the past due to a particularly bad hole, so these are not Deep State related. It's just that there are no solutions to making complexity (as in, millions of lines of code) infallible (as in, no bugs.)
ThanQ
This reminds me of something that happened in January:

I'm on a windows machine right now. I already did the update. What's your recommended course of action?
what do you think u/Choctaw ?
