Like you, I had to ask too. A coworker explained that it means one has completely outdone oneself. What subsequent episode of Happy Days could even come close to the jumping the shark episode? They couldn't possibly do anything better, more outrageous, or showy. Apply it to present context and it symbolizes the overplay of the left's hand in speeding to implement their agenda to demonize all who have a correct, righteous, and conservative ideology. They've jumped the shark by suggesting we are terrorists. What more hideous lie about conservatives could outdo that one?
