While losing a patriot like Charlie Kirk does hurt, I’ve taken on a different perspective while looking at the impact. I’ve considered the normie perspective from someone without party or centered on politics.

I’ll start by recognizing that normies and even majorities of both parties acknowledge that Charlie Kirk was killed for his views - there’s little to no debate on this from either side of the fence…

The consensus reaction obviously diverges where you have those abhorred, those indifferent, and those who find it satirical and even joyous.. BUT this is not a drastically different reaction from other publicly notorious deaths. Take the most recent one, George Floyd.

I will preface, as people are very emotional about CKs recent murder, that I am in no way saying the two men are the same character or died similarly

Death happened on camera and was widely publicized - that is the basis of comparison, nothing more, nothing less. Overall the IMMEDIATE and general reaction to Floyd’s death was largely the same, again: you have those abhorred, those indifferent, and those who find it satirical and even joyous. Obviously the expressions of said reactions were different - the right did not loot, murder and destroy.

It’s important to point out that as publicized and propagandized Floyd’s death was, it did not cause an observable change in either political party. Now as you know, we do not have the media, pop and celebrity culture, universities and schools, and other mainstream assets to bolster the right’s message, overtime (~ 2-4 weeks) we will observe the same with Charlie’s death.

Furthermore, the climate we are in vastly different than that years ago. Around George Floyd, there was a singular predominant issue the country (even the world) was facing: the pandemic Covid-19 (again from a normie perspective). It was easier to focus on Georgie Floyd, as it almost served as a distraction from the massive singular issue American society was facing at the time. Not to mention, obviously the lefts choice in expression - protests, burning, looting, rioting, also largely helped keep attention on Floyd’s death.

However, in this current climate, as it is riddled with multiple issues:

  • 2 large wars (Russia v Ukraine and Israel v Middle East) with a hyperfocus on Russia and US/ Trump and Putins relationship

  • Trumps city takeovers and ICE raids

  • Tariffs, economy (fight on interest rates and unemployment), etc.

  • Coincidental resurgence of focus on past issues like Epstein

I predict that Charlie Kirks death will not have the same longevity in Americas attention span, as George Floyd’s unfortunately.

One would argue the trial would resurface attention back to Charlie Kirk’s death, however since Tyler Robinson’s charges are state capital charges, it is going to take years - simply put. The quickest conviction-to-execution period since the 2000s has been 10 years alone.

This isn’t to demoralize or discredit anything to Charlie or his movement, but just to give a normie perspective and prediction of what is to come, when looking at everything at face value. This is in no way insinuating that Charlie’s death is part of the plan or that the plan is not still ongoing.
