The lead prosecutor in that case, Jon Hatami, is running for DA against gascon.

That case is interesting because Hatami went after the Department of Family and Child Services people as well, criminally, and secured convictions only for them to be overturned on appeal.

From 2002: Lewin said in court papers that the law secretary, Arthur Engoron, claims he only began dating the secretary of the opposing counsel, Christopher Sullivan, on May 10. But Lewin said Sullivan’s actions in the case may have been "influenced" by information he received from the woman, identified in the papers only as Sue. And Lewin noted that Engoron "was drafting [later] decisions and communicating" with the judge about this case during the time he was dating Sue.

Whether there are rosters or physical meeting places does not mean much. RICO doesn't define "organization" that way. What RICO looks at is organized, coordinated activity. Ways to prove that can include common insignia, group chats, message boards, and yes, even rosters and physical meeting places. The biggest evidence is the actual crime that was committed. Could the crime have even been committed that way without coordination?

Lol To think that the lead prosecutor automatically gives the opening is ridiculous. It is a possibility, yes. Many times they split duties and even in the OJ trial they split opening. I've almost always seen the lead prosecutor closing.
