I worked as a CT/X-ray tech for 10 years. Majority of our orders were bullshit and only ordered to “cover their ass” in case something happens. we’d get pregnant women coming in to get exams(which you receive radiation obviously) for the dumbest fucking reasons bc their fucking doctor would tell them it fine and apparently no one questioned . Any radiologist or rad tech would NEVER tell them it’s safe bc it’s the fucking opposite. Radiation causes cancer and they hand it out like tic tacs.
