Yes Jews and Christians both recognise the old testament, but that bit is just a (very shocking) bit of the story - wishing to smash the heads of their enemies' children - not a practice of either faith.

And you see yourselves as the good guys, right?

They weren't performing any rituals with humans. They were absolutely obsessed with cleanliness.

There is the bit about smashing the heads of infants on rocks - but that's in the Old Testament, and I don't think Christians practise that any more than Jews do.

I'm not Jewish, but it does seem odd for you to accuse others of murderousness then segue into expressing extreme murderousness.

That seems to be a recurring trope among anons.

I'm not Christian either, but I'm sure Jesus had something to say about hypocrites.

It seems Trump either lied or is powerless.

I can't think of a third possibility. Anyone?

With viruses, the more fatal they are the less they spread. Ebola is at one extreme - highly lethal, but therefore self-limiting in spread, because it is a poor survival strategy for a virus to kill its host. The common cold is at the other extreme - not fatal at all, and endemic everywhere.

This coronavirus is in the dangerous sweet spot - able to spread, and able to kill.

So the idea that it isn't all that dangerous is itself a very dangerous idea. It is extremely dangerous, as proven by the fact that it has been a deadly pandemic which has killed some 2.65million souls.

Of course not. But what on earth does the Talmud have to do with the blood libel?

The blood libel was a medieval Christian conspiracy.

After all, Q presents a very ugly and upsetting reality. No one could possibly want it to be true, so we should interrogate it carefully to see if it is. The best case scenario for everyone would be to disprove it.

I couldn't see any proofs in it.

It all seemed to be stuff like 'here are two things which have the same two digit number'.

That's hardly surprising. In any random group of 23 people, there is about a 50% chance that two people have exactly the same birthday.

It would be amazing if no such coincidences occurred.
