God bless your grandmother! I agree with you... the current Pope had be fooled up until a couple years ago. I guess another one of my struggles is, can I truly be a convert if I don't respect or believe in the head of the church?

I am still on the fence but there is something innate that has always drawn me to this religion and I pray that God leads me in the right direction and that the church is at its core serving the lord and will overcome those who try to taint the word of God and the church.

I have always been fascinated by Catholicism. My husband has encouraged me to convert. But I am hesitant because of all that I have been learning lately.

Can someone clarify for me? Is the Catholic church founded by heretics and based on evil? Or was it eventually taken over by evil forces like our government? If so, can we cleanse and purge the church?
