The fine hairs on his head are being backlit by the light behind it, and he's looking a bit deformed because he's at the outer edge of the phone camera lens. Seems legit to me. If you look at the people behind him, they also have the same edge-light-on-hair-thing happening.
In his glasses, you can see he's wearing some kind of compression gloves/sleeves. Not that it matters.
I would often click on page 35 of results for example just to see something that would be off the beaten path and not "fed" to me. I haven't used Google in a while, so I wasn't aware they removed that feature.
